Perfect spot for exploring Capitol Reef
We loved our stay at Red Sands Hotel! The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable — great to come back to after a day of hiking in Capitol Reef.
The location is super convenient, just minutes from the park entrance. Staff were welcoming and helpful, and the hotel has a really calm, relaxing vibe.
Bonus points for the rooftop deck and the cozy lobby — perfect for chilling out in the evening. Would absolutely stay here again!

Pour un hôtel avec Spa, quelle déception de découvrir que la piscine intérieure n'était pas chauffée ! Un problème au système de chauffage... Une grande déception parce que la piscine et le jacuzzi sont mis en avant dans la présentation.
L'hôtel met à disposition des boissons, des fruits, le matin. Et l'emplacement est idéal au bout de l'incroyable Scenic route 12 de l'Utah au sein de Capitol Reef. Un point de chute idéal entre Bryce Canyon et Island in the Sky.

This is a quiet, clean and well managed property, I would recommend for anyone who is in the area to stay at this lovely hotel. Only two things I would recommend for the property to pay attention to.
1. They send texts and stating property respond to the text and they don’t. The front desk states they don’t get the texts. So if you are like me, trying to communicate with the property via the text they send you, please take a note.
2. The hot tub is a nice feature but so much chlorine and chemicals in it that my eyes and lungs got burned not while I was in it for a short while even the next day I can still smell 5e chemicals. I think instead of cleaning properly they are keep adding chemicals or using too much of it. That needs to be taken care of. It is toxic. The other guests were stating the same,

Frustrating
Checking into the hotel your forced to checkin on your phone, even though I was in the lobby of the hotel. I requested 1st floor & reserved mountain view room, he put me in 2nd floor no view room. I went back downstairs and showed the confirmation email of room type, he then reluctantly said he'd do me a favor and put me in a view room. Ive stayed here a few times and like the hotel, but this time was very disappointing. Minor annoyance, the direct TV box wouldn't power up, by the time I realized this it was late & I had no desire interacting with Mr. Hospitality again.

Nice place to stay. Little language barrier at checking, not a show stopper. They like you to register on-line, suspect this mitigates that issue. On-site restaurant good. Room is dated and a little tired.
Parking good.
Great location. Great view of night sky if go beyond patio.
Overall hotel condition was OK, dated though. I had no problem as I was looking for place to stay to explore nearby National Parks.
I would stay again. The area is great.
